Public Sculpture, Warrawong Community Centre, City of Woolongong Council, Artistic Signage, installed June 2014

The brief required a contemporary approach to artistic signage, related to this historic south coast town, and called for community consultation to ensure the work was site specific and relevant to the local community.
Made from several types of stainless steel, and and standing approximately 3.6 meters high, in front of the Warrawong Community Centre, this work is a 'Place Marker' installed at the hub of the Community Centre, a place for social interaction, Community Services, an informal meeting place and networking.
The signage symbols have quite deep meanings to the local community, and the Community Services see them a an inspiration to the services and their customers.
