COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
 to ensure the proposed works are 

·       site specific

·       have community input

·       are relevant to a brief

The image above is given to show the potential methods for collecting data and include

·       round table discussions

·       input using practical session like simple drawing, painting and sculpture to physical define concepts and clarify ideas

·       taking ideas from a group and actually sketching potential outcomes, allowing more input and development

These and other task oriented workshops will help to crystallise ideas and gain a broad acceptance of the final concepts. Note at all time the artist will ensure practicality, artistic integrity and connection to brief  are well defined and considered.

These types of workshops are an important adjunct to designing a work that will be a ‘Placemark’, designed to encourage community pride and acceptance of the project.
